TU/e is an internationally prominent university, which is specialized in engineering science & technology and wants to contribute to the solution to major sustainability issues. For its pursuit of sustainability, TU/e has decided on a comprehensive approach.
TU/e educates tomorrow’s engineers. They are aware of the challenges we face worldwide. This is why TU/e strives to include sustainability in the curriculum of every study program. In addition, TU/e provides courses at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PDEng level with a special focus on sustainability.
Sustainability enjoys an important position in the research conducted at TU/e. There are three specific areas on which TU/e focuses its attention: Energy, Smart Mobility and Health. As an experimental garden for sustainable innovation, TU/e uses its campus for research (‘Living Labs’) in the area of sustainability.
The TU/e campus is green and sustainable. Our buildings are heated and cooled by means of one of the biggest Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) installations of the Benelux. For new buildings and renovation, sustainability is an essential requirement. Our internal operational management gives maximum consideration to Planet, Profit, People. Besides, the TU/e campus is green and leaves ample space for pedestrians and cyclists.
